A group of Kashmiri students have been injured yesterday as a result of a recent altercation over the Kerala Story issue. 1 student was attacked with an iron rod & sustained head injuries with 12 stitches.The student who was brutally attacked & had received 12 stitches is from Baderwah.
Disappointing to hear that the Victim Students were rusticatd by GMC Jammu Principal frm the hostel & banned frm attending classes, while the accusd roam free. This action by the authorities doesn’t serve justice & is unfair to the studnts.
Instead of trying to cover up the matter, the GMC principal must take decisive action against the perpetrators & ensure justice for the victims. The principal should restore order in the campus & create an atmosphere of peace & tolerance.
Only then can the students feel safe and secure in their learning environment. GMC Jammu authorities must work towards creating a safe and inclusive campus for all students.
